Occasion OOTD

Now is the season for special occasions such as graduation, races and weddings – and to go to these events, you just NEED the perfect outfit. Lucky for me, Boutique of Molly came to my rescue! They’re also coming to yours as they’ve given my followers an exclusive code for 20% off – just use the code ‘ROBYNLE20’ at the checkout to receive your discount ūüôā

When I was approached by BOM, I had a browse of their website and so much stuff caught my eye straight away. I liked a lot of their summery playsuits which would be perfect for holiday, or if Britain actually had a summer –¬†neither of which look like they’ll be happening for me anytime soon though, sadly. So instead the lovely ladies at BOM helped me pick a dress for¬†a day out to the races I have planned in August. BOM’s ‘Orla’ Bandage Mini Dress is the perfect outfit for me as I’ve always been a fan of body con and bandage dresses because they’re always so figure flattering (and make you feel like Kim K for a day).

I was absolutely amazed at BOM’s delivery service because my little pink parcel arrived just a day and a half after I’d picked my beautiful dress. When the dress arrived¬†I couldn’t believe how heavy it was, the quality is amazing¬†and there is definitely no chance of the dress becoming see through in this amazing material!¬†The dress absolutely speaks for itself as it has beautiful panelling detail right round the dress which helps give a slimming effect and pull in any unwanted lumps. This dress is a bit more pricey the a lot of items on the BOM website as it’s a part of their¬†luxury collection, but if you’re looking to splash out for an occasion, this dress is 100% worth it.

Here’s how I styled my dress for my #BOMselfie:

  1. Dress: Boutique of Molly, £89.95
  2. Blazer: Marks and Spencer, £29.50
  3. Shoes: Primark, £5 (fabulous little sale find!!)
  4. Bag: Michael Kors

I opted to keep my outfit on the monochromatic side to keep to the neutral tone of the dress. The only pop I added was the snake print on my bag which is still nude toned to match the dress. I chose these particular sandals as I feel this style is flattering for the legs when paired with bodycon style dresses (helping my vertically challenged self look like I have longer limbs than I actually have). The white in the sandals then matches with the blazer (which had to be added as you cannot trust British weather to be warm) which helps add a finishing touch to tie the outfit together.

You can find Boutique of Molly on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and check out their clothes collection at boutiqueofmolly.com.

Primark Mini Haul

Ever since the Primark opened in Broughton Park, I just can’t get enough of shopping there. I literally spend hours in there working my way through each department and making sure I don’t miss anything. So I thought I’d show you what I came away with on my most recent visit.

Every girl ALWAYS needs tweezers – and it just so helped that these are rose gold so how could I say no? For ¬£1 for 2 pairs of tweezers, these were an absolute bargain and actually work. Normally people say that the price reflects the quality, but that certainly isn’t true for these because they’re some of the best tweezers I’ve owned.

I’ve wanted to try the likes of the clarisonic face brushes for ages but I just can’t justify the price of them.. So when I saw this simple, hand version for ¬£1 I obviously had to at least give it a go – so far, so good! The bristles are so much softer than they look, but you can vary the pressure you use to get the desired exfoliation you want. I tend to use this with my daily cleanser either morning or night to freshen up my skin.

Next on the shopping list – shoes. Or as me and my best friend like to call them: “momflops”, super comfy sandals that you wear with everything. First off are the Harry Potter flip flops which I reeeeallllyyyy wanted, but didn’t buy. And then I ended up going back for them.. ¬£2.50 really isn’t going to hurt my bank balance, so no harm done.

Next up are the Birkenstock dupes which only cost me ¬£4!!! I’d been considering investing in a real pair of Birks this year because I got so much wear out of my H&M dupes last summer. However, thanks to the British weather I held off.. And aren’t I glad I did now?! Saved myself major pennies for a pretty convincing pair of sandals that are so comfy I can wear them throughout an 8 hour shift!

And, of course, I didn’t leave without any clothes, because that’s just not me.. I came across the cutest Game of Thrones t-shirt with this ‘Mother of Dragons’ slogan on. And as a big fan of Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of her name, the Unburnt, Queen of Mereen, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons (!!!) I couldn’t leave it there. Especially not for ¬£7!

And last, but not least, my Harry Potter nightshirt.. I went into Primark knowing full well that I wanted some Harry Potter pyjamas of some sort. I tried on different bottoms and wasn’t all that keen on the fit. I’m much more of a night shirt girl so was happy to find this on my second pyjama hunt, for only ¬£10.

That concludes this Primark mini haul! But the odds¬†that I’ll be back with another one soon are pretty high – I just can’t get enough!
