Occasion OOTD

Now is the season for special occasions such as graduation, races and weddings – and to go to these events, you just NEED the perfect outfit. Lucky for me, Boutique of Molly came to my rescue! They’re also coming to yours as they’ve given my followers an exclusive code for 20% off – just use the code ‘ROBYNLE20’ at the checkout to receive your discount ūüôā

When I was approached by BOM, I had a browse of their website and so much stuff caught my eye straight away. I liked a lot of their summery playsuits which would be perfect for holiday, or if Britain actually had a summer –¬†neither of which look like they’ll be happening for me anytime soon though, sadly. So instead the lovely ladies at BOM helped me pick a dress for¬†a day out to the races I have planned in August. BOM’s ‘Orla’ Bandage Mini Dress is the perfect outfit for me as I’ve always been a fan of body con and bandage dresses because they’re always so figure flattering (and make you feel like Kim K for a day).

I was absolutely amazed at BOM’s delivery service because my little pink parcel arrived just a day and a half after I’d picked my beautiful dress. When the dress arrived¬†I couldn’t believe how heavy it was, the quality is amazing¬†and there is definitely no chance of the dress becoming see through in this amazing material!¬†The dress absolutely speaks for itself as it has beautiful panelling detail right round the dress which helps give a slimming effect and pull in any unwanted lumps. This dress is a bit more pricey the a lot of items on the BOM website as it’s a part of their¬†luxury collection, but if you’re looking to splash out for an occasion, this dress is 100% worth it.

Here’s how I styled my dress for my #BOMselfie:

  1. Dress: Boutique of Molly, £89.95
  2. Blazer: Marks and Spencer, £29.50
  3. Shoes: Primark, £5 (fabulous little sale find!!)
  4. Bag: Michael Kors

I opted to keep my outfit on the monochromatic side to keep to the neutral tone of the dress. The only pop I added was the snake print on my bag which is still nude toned to match the dress. I chose these particular sandals as I feel this style is flattering for the legs when paired with bodycon style dresses (helping my vertically challenged self look like I have longer limbs than I actually have). The white in the sandals then matches with the blazer (which had to be added as you cannot trust British weather to be warm) which helps add a finishing touch to tie the outfit together.

Busy B

I was so excited when the postman delivered these amazing pieces! As you’ve seen in a previous post, I am a stationery LOVER! I am also the biggest bookworm ever so I’m so excited to utilise this book journal and the page markers that BusyB have sent me.

Book Journal, ¬£12.99, BusyBIMG_1292I have always loved reading and ever since doing my English degree I always think more critically about what I’m reading. (Any English students – this journal is perfect for your degree!) This journal will be perfect for me to write my ideas down, which will also double as a blog post planner for if I’m reviewing any books. I’m actually really excited to start planning my book review posts now I have this journal to organise my ideas. It comes with a range of stickers to note in the journal my ratings or feelings of books which is such a cute finishing touch!IMG_1293.jpgThe ‘Books Read’ section is where I can use all the cute stickers and write down any notes I have about the books I’ve read.IMG_1295There is a section which allows you to note down ‘To Be Read’ books. This is really handy for me cause I normally just jot them down on a piece of paper, and shock, I lose the paper! I always see book reviews and think “I need to read that!” but don’t get round to it because I lose the information. This will be perfect to keep my findings organised.IMG_1296.jpg My closest friends will know how OCD I am about my books. I mean, I just feel like it’s common courtesy to not turn pages down, or bend the spine of someone else’s book. The loan part of this book can help keep track of who’s leant what.IMG_1304.jpgI’ll most likely use the book club meetings section of this journal as an extra space to write down my notes about books, as I’m not a part of any book clubs. This would be perfect for anyone in school or university to write down notes they should bring up in class!IMG_1294.jpg

Doggy Page Markers, £3.50, BusyB

These doggy page markers are so cute! I really want a sausage a dog and have been collecting anything with sausage dogs on, so these are perfect for me. They also have a load of other doggy stationery that any dog lovers should check out! I’ll be using these in my favourite books to mark my favourite pages, phrases and quotes. I absolutely love saving quotes from my favourite authors and this will be the best way of doing so.

Any stationery lovers like me need to get over to BusyB.com and start shopping their range!
